Peigín Leitir Móir is the second volume of songs and rhymes from the tradition for children that we began with the hugely successful Gugalaí Gug (7,000 copies sold since its 2005 publication). It's another lavishly produced full-colour book and CD set, sure to please.
Featuring the voices of three generations of Conamara rhymers and singers, including the award-winning traditional singer Caitlín Ní Chualáin (familiar to fans of Gugalaí Gug), the celebrated film and stage actor from Spiddal, Peadar Ó Treasaigh (Cré na Cille, Kings) as well a cast of young talent from Scoil na Tulaí and Scoil Thír an Fhia, in the Connemara heartland.
